Summer Rides and Smart Gear Selection

The summer season is upon us, and the riding weather is perfect for most of the country! Here in Northern California, we have been blessed with mild 80ish degree temps, but at times we have seen some triple digit days!

Having the right gear for this weather always makes for more enjoyable experiences. From my experience, the right jacket and glove combination will make a big difference when things heat up!

My father and I are gearing up and getting ready for an epic 4-day ride in Montana! Having the right gear that will be versatile enough for the conditions, weather and elevation changes is going to be critical for the overall experience! We are going to tackle Bear Tooth Highway into Yellowstone. The elevation starts around the 5200-foot mark, and we will crest the pass near 11,000 feet! I am going to be taking my Cortech Hyper-Flow Air jacket CORTECH Men’s Hyper-Flo Air 2.0 Jacket| Santa Clara Cycle and Hyper-Flo Air Gloves Cortech Hyper-Flo Air V2 Men's Motorcycle Glove| Santa Clara Cycle. Both are super lightweight and breathable but still have all of the armor you could need in case of the unplanned impact. What I personally like about this jacket is the outside shell is super breathable, and it also has a full-length removable liner that will keep me warm and dry! This is going to be very important as the temps drop as we gain elevation! I am also planning to pack a heavier waterproof glove in case of some unexpected moisture!

Stay tuned in for our ride report and pictures. Hopefully you are having a great riding season and have epic ride trips planned as well!Cortech Hyper-Flo Air V2 Men's Motorcycle Glove - Santa Clara Cycle
